We spoke to Michael Shaub, clinical professor and deloitte professional program director professor about his success with using Ideagen Audit Analytics products in the classroom.
Preparing students for the real world
“I’ve been a university auditing professor for 34 years and my job is to teach and prepare students for the real world.
I think it’s a difference maker for my students to be exposed to Ideagen Audit Analytics in their first auditing class in our program.”
“We like our fourth-year students to be comfortable in analytics before they join a big 4 firm and Ideagen Audit Analytics helps us introduce that early on.
These students take auditing before they go out into internships. It exposes them to real-world software and helps to develop critical thinking skills.”
We’re working to create questioning, critical, analytical minds at our institution, and Audit Analytics gives us a tool that helps us do that more effectively.
User friendly and easy to learn
“What I love about Ideagen Audit Analytics is that it’s a low investment software for my students.
I love it because you guys have made it so user friendly that I can use it without having to spend 10 hours training, bringing my students into a lab, and trying to teach them the software.
There are some tools that you really have to have a strong background to be able to use effectively, and Ideagen Audit Analytics is not one of them.
If you’re intuitive, you can use it. That’s why i am able to introduce it to my students so early on in the year.”
Developing critical thinkers for successful careers
“We’re working to create questioning, critical, analytical minds at our institution, and you’ve given us a tool that helps us do that more effectively.
I feel anyone who is an auditing student is more than capable of using a tool like Ideagen Audit Analytics.
I just love it as a tool to get more answers to questions and be more informed.”
